The Stacey Pepper Dance Academy is a vibrant and exciting school based in the Ipswich Gymnastics Centre, Suffolk benefiting from excellent facilities including a brand new sprung floor, parking, changing rooms, purpose built studios and a comfortable waiting area for the parents of our younger students.

The school specialises in I.S.T.D Ballet, tap and modern, but we also teach I.S.T.D Jazz Awards, Street Jazz and Drama to round off our curriculum. Our students can leave us with the confidence of being able to do everything.

in addition to our popular studio based classes in 2005 SPDA was employed by Connect Sports Consultants. Our highly qualified Dance Teachers visit Schools around the British Isles to lead courses training School Teachers the basics of dance movements.

If you would like us to arrange a course of classes or help you choreograph a dance for you or your organisation please contact us.

Studio based classes are also available in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex. Please see our Timetable for further details.

Stacey Pepper A.I.S.T.D
Principal

Stacey began her dance training at the age of two at the Tiffany Stage Academy in Clacton-on-Sea. It was there she trained in I.S.T.D Ballet, Tap and Modern Theatre Dance and went on the represent the school, at the age of 15 in the Janet Cram Awards in London.

She also studied R.A.D Ballet, Drama and singing before being accepted early, at the age of 16, by the famous Doreen Bird College, Sidcup. It was there she gained her National Diploma in Theatre Arts and her Associates in Ballet, Tap and Modern.

Having appeared in the West End, TV programs, commercials and many theatre productions, Stacey decided to pursue a career in teaching following the success of a small Sunday morning 'Tots' class where literally everyone commented on how good she was with the children.

Stacey's CV includes the following:
  • The Bill
  • Dream Team
  • Double Take
  • Mile High
  • Two Pints of Lager & a Packet of Crisps
...So if you want to learn from someone who's done it then come along!

Fiona Floyd A.I.S.T.D
Dance Teacher

Fiona started her dance training at the age of three years old along side Miss Stacey. They spent many happy (and competitive) years together training in I.S.T.D. Ballet, Tap, Modern Theatre Dance and R.A.D Ballet. Fiona gained excellent results in all her examinations and appeared in many Tiffany Stage Academy productions.

Whilst training at TSA she won the Marjorie Davis Junior Star Tap Awards in London and two years later took away the "Outstanding Dance" award in the senior section.

At the age of sixteen she was accepted at the Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts in Sidcup, Kent. Whilst training there she was a budding choreographer and choreographed various dances which were used in the college show!

Graduating with a National Diploma and her I.S.T.D Associate at the age of nineteen Fiona took part in the "Gold Tap" video for the I.S.T.D. at their London headquarters before joining forces with Stacey once again at Stacey Pepper Dance Academy in January 2004. Their objective being to develop the school and become household names!!

Christine Pepper
School Secretary

Christine Pepper is the School Secretary and plays a major role in the day to day running of Stacey Pepper Dance Academy. She is a qualified Hairdresser and Max Factor Manicurist who has worked in many salons and department stores. She also used to style the hair for ballroom competitions including the heats for “Come Dancing” and in 1969 won the Weller Stylist of the Year competition run by John Lewis department store.

After having Stacey she continued hair dressing and became the school hair dresser for the dance school that Stacey attended; styling the hair for shows and exams. When Stacey went to college she joined Burnden Financial Services where she learnt computer and administration skills, but since the formation of SPDA she has returned to a vocation which she loves and is helping the school go from strength to strength.

In addition to her obvious duties around show and exam times, Tina is also in charge of the school Shop which sells the SPDA uniform and makes many of the costumes for the shows. Please call Tina if there is anything you would like to see stocked in the shop and we’ll see what we can do.
